Happy Friday! I have taken a little break over the past week to slow down and enjoy the holidays with friends and family, but today I am back and sharing an honest review of my Apple Watch. I have had my watch for a little over 6 months now and I’ve really enjoyed wearing it. My wrist is super small so I opted for the 38mm series 2 gold watch. Mine came with a navy blue band, but I also purchased a light pink band which is what I’m currently using. So far, I don’t have anything negative to say about it so I will list a few things that I like about it.
Stand up reminder: One great feature is that the Apple Watch will remind you to stand every hour. I have an office job where I sit at a desk most of the day so it is super helpful to have a reminder to get up and walk around throughout the day.
Text/call notifications: I love that I get notified whenever a call or text comes in so I don’t need to have my phone on me at all times and I can still be in the loop. I also have it set up to where I get notifications from Facebook Messenger as well.
Activity tracker: I am definitely not a fitness guru by any means, but I really like to check my steps at the end of the day and to see if I met any goals. (i.e. – did I stand each hour, exercise for 30 mins, number of calories burned)
Customizable: Being able to change out the watch bands is a huge plus for me because you can get bands to match any outfit for any occasion. It can be dressed up or down. These bands come in many different colors and they’re really affordable!
Favorite Apps for Apple Watch:
Evernote: I use Evernote to keep track of my login information for everything including things like my utilities, work related programs, and personal information. If I need something in a hurry, I can just quickly go to the app on my watch to get whatever I need.
Citymapper: I haven’t used this app as much as others, but it is a great tool to have while exploring a big city. It can help you navigate around large cities and hopefully make traveling seem a little less overwhelming.
Reminders: I use reminders on my phone to keep track of grocery lists, blog post ideas, and shopping lists and I like to be able to pull it up on my watch to check off things as I go.
